Synergy
The Synergy profile was developed by Princeton industrial engineer Jon Cleaver in the 1950’s. Cleaver believed that each individual was unique and therefore needed to be measured and evaluated for compatibility with the human behavioral requirements of the job. The Synergy profile has been used by thousands of corporations and not-for-profit organizations worldwide over the past 50 years and is recognized as one of the industry leading tools for evaluating how behavior and motivation relate to job performance.
Synergy consists of three core instruments:
- Human Factor Job DISCription (HFJD)
- Self DISCription (SD)
- Motivating Values (MV)
Human Factor Job DISCription (HFJD)
The HFJD consists of 24 Job Behaviors that are rated on the level of importance to performing the job successfully according to the job supervisor's expectations. The HFJD is used to determine how the selected job factors relate to the successful performance of the role. The HFJD is not a rating of an individual's performance in the job. The HFJD establishes "ideal" job behavior success standards.
Self-DISCription (SD)
The SD profile consists of 24 groups of 4 characteristics.
Motivating Values (MV)
The MV profile consists of 9 groups of 6 choices in the following categories: Personal Values; Self-Motivation; Best use of free time; Life Purpose; Career Preference; Career Enrichment; Desired Knowledge; Desired Image; and Service to Society.
Synergy is available in multiple languages including English, Spanish, and Portuguese
